Diaryland ate another entry yesterday... I wrote a lovely long one, and its gone, gone, gone...
So now I don't really feel like writing at all. I hate when that happens!
Grrr Arggg!
I went for my weekly checkup yesterday. Yesterday was also my orginial due date, going by the date of my last period. To refresh your memories, they changed my due date after reviewing my first ultrasound... Moved it three whole weeks ahead! I am supposedly due June 16th, instead of May 25th.
So isn't it strange that whenever the doctor gets out the ol' tape measure and measures my uterus, I consistantly measure three weeks more pregnant than I am according to my new due date?
Yesterday, which as you know, was May 25th, I measured 40 weeks pregnant. Last week I was 39... Weird huh?
Methinks they might have got it wrong!
Sigh...
I have another ultrasound scheduled tomorrow morning. So I asked (whined at) my doctor to induce me if the baby is seven pounds or more. She agreed... Sort of...
She said we can "talk about inducing me" if the baby is big enough. I was a little discouraged, but then she mentioned several procedures to coax me to dilate further and also said that she is in the hospital a lot in June so we can schedule it while she is there...
That sounds so much more promising!!!
So I think the odds are pretty darn good that I will be giving birth before June 16th... Thank the goddess!!! I am going to try to convince her that next weekend would be PERFECT... LOL I don't know if it will work, but I am going to try.
Seriously, I don't think I can do this another three or four weeks...
And, this might sound cowardly and really not earth-mother-nature-loving-pagan-witchy but I am really nervous about going into labor on my own. I've never done it before... I've been induced with both my kids, in a hospital, surrounded by people who know what they are doing, in a sterilized and gloved environment...
It kind of freaks me out to play wait and see.
