Good news and Bad News... Bad News first!

I am so sorry I haven't updated sooner. James had his knee surgery last week and we have been kind of caught up in that.
I haven't really been in the mood to write lately. I am sorry!
Plus I hate the way my diary looks right now! Its depressing! I am going to renew my gold account sometime next week.
Now for the news...
James's job LAID HIM OFF... While he was on workmen's comp for the injury he got while there!!!!
Yup.
Three days before Christmas!
We went in to deliver them the paperwork for his surgery on the 21st. The doctors all said that he needed surgery because he tore something in his knee, and the earliest they could schedule it was January 17th. Which meant that he wouldn't be cleared for work until the begin of February!!!
The next day, his boss called and laid him off!
Which apparently was a nice way of saying you're fired because we found out that they already had hired someone to fill one of his positions and promoted his assistant to his primary job!
James was a full time, year round salaried employee. And they just said, buh bye! With no warning, or anything.
And I guess that is illegal. You can't lose your job while you are on workmen's comp. So he went to a lawyer, and they are going to try and get a settlement. Because this is the off season, there is no way for James to get another job right now... No one is hiring until April! And since we lost our employee health insurance, (after they gave it to us a month early because of the baby! And I am high risk. I can't be without coverage!) they are going to try to get the inn to cover the cost of my pregnancy.
What a shitty thing to do to a family right before Christmas! They KNOW we are having another baby. They KNOW James is our sole provider! They KNOW we have two children already to support. It was just a mean thing to do!
Sigh.

Its a girl!!!!! I am having my little Willow!
Isn't that lovely?
We had an Ultra Sound two weeks ago, and yup, my little bun is a girl!
And yuck, I am not as pregnant as I thought I was... Apparently I was only 17 weeks 6 days at my U.S. appointment, not 22 like they thought. So my new due date is June 16, 2006. Instead of May 25. Boy does that stink. I am going to have two babies with almost the same birthday!
James is convinced that I am going to have her on June 6, 2006... 06/06/06.
Funny guy, isn't he?
