Wow am I exhausted!!!! The fab four (as I will now be calling myself and my mommy friends D, D, and A) decided "camping out" in D's backyard was a great idea... Apparently we are insane. There were four moms and nine children... Three eight year old girls, one six year old girl, two five year old boys, two two year old boys, and my twelve week old Willow... It was soooooo stressful!!!! The girls ended up inside, and A went to put all the boys to sleep in one tent and was never heard from again that night! (she fell asleep too) D and D and I had a lovely time chatting around the fire. Apparently we are in sync enough that even though I'd only had one drink several hours before, (wow was that yummy!) I was getting buzzed off their buzz vibes... How weird that was! The four of us are so great together! (er, well the three of us at that point!) Anyway... Patrick was wonderful and went to sleep around 9:30 after what seemed like 45 encores of me singing "Castle on a cloud". He ended up on the air mattress I was going to sleep on outside of the tent, so when I went to bed I was stuck with Willow on one side and Patrick on the other! All was well until 2 am (I remember sometime around 12 when I went to sleep thinking "this is nice!" even though it was a little damp and quite chilly... We were under the stars and I had a cozy coccoon inside of my four blankets! I dozed off looking up into the night sky and counting the stars. And then at two in the morning Patrick woke up and FLIPPED OUT. He realized he was outside and not inside.... That did not go over well... I was trying to keep him from waking up the other kids... And I wasn't thinking straight because I was tired, so I picked him up and brought him into the house (Quite a distance away!) And then realized I had left Willow outside and I was now stuck in the house consoling my crazy two year old... I had to wake up my poor witchling (wow was that hard work!) to stay with Patrick while I ran out to get Willow... Both ways, barefoot through an overgrown rocky path because I had forgotten my shoes! By the time I came back Patrick was screaming bloody murder!!! I ended up spending the rest of the night inside, on the couch with my two babies for company! Sigh. The morning was great though... The kids weren't anywhere near as energetic as the day before, so the mommies got to have coffee and sit and chat as we thumbed through the pagan/herbal remedy/witchy books we had all brought to share. I managed to almost complete my custom order Hestia Goddess doll while we were sitting there. (yay!) All in all I had a really nice (tiring) time... We decided we are going to do it again, but next time we are going to camp out in my living room sans children, and with a lot more yummy drinks!
