Can I just say, pagan kids are AWESOME!!! Picture it, three girls, including my witchling, all around eight years old, sitting on a fence. Improvising drums with sticks rapped in a rhythemic beat against the wooden railing as they chant "Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate, Demeter, Kali, Innana..." Picture it, a group of children, sitting on and around a large rock on the edge of the woods, one slowly beating a drum. All of them clutching small swords and battle axes, while one danced to the beat of the drum... ~The one dancing was my witchling~ It was amazing to watch. Hannah and Ash found a raccoon skeleton in the woods, and called to the others to come and see. It was like something out of Lord of the Flies... A band of kids, leaping through the woods, weapons in hand! Ugh... I am so damn tired!!! I am going to bed as soon as I finish this entry. Just wanted to say that the pagan pride days were great! We had a lot of fun and met a bunch of interesting people... I think I made some new friends, several people that I felt a connection with. And now its bedtime, this was a lot of excitement for a homebody such as myself!
Things you can only learn from movies and television... If I see one more little winky... |
