Merry Christmas everyone!

Wow... Almost a full year has gone by since I began this diary. That's the longest I've ever stuck to anything, well, except James of course! WE have been together for two years and two months!

I hope you are all having a lovely holiday! Mine is going ok... Oh nothing is wrong, I just don't feel very much in the Christmas spirit this year. Don't know why.

I remember how it was when I was little... When it was Magick. When it was special and the air was filled with the smell of pine and gingerbread and the sound of sleigh bells. I miss being excited about what Santa will bring. I miss waking up at the crack of dawn to tear through my presents! Or obsessing about whether or not it will snow. I miss being in school, and the christmas parties. The chorus concerts I was in every year... I miss having to dress up in my very best and visit all my relatives... Back then it was a big deal. My family would all gather at my Gran's house, and we would eat a huge meal, followed by disgustingly rich deserts and eggnog. We would all sit around the tree and open our presents. We would dance and sing. There was mistletoe, and my Gran always had this glass bowl of ribbon candy on the coffee table. I hated that stuff. And we would all crowd in together in the living room, which was never used except on Christmas.

One year, they actually had someone, I think a neighbor, dress up like Santa and come visit. After that, he came every year till they moved. My uncle used to climb up on the roof with a brace of bells, and the adults would call us out onto the deck to listen for Santa. It was Magick.

Now I am a grown up, and all the magick is gone...

Now we focus on our witchling, and try to give her the some of that magick. Its fun to watch her excitement. To watch her eyes light up when she sees that Santa has been here.

She was so happy today. The kid made out like a tiny bandit. Not only did she get just about everything on her list to Santa, she also got a bike!

And a whole bunch of other stuff.

James and I decided not to buy each other anything because we want to continue to save money (and we still have to buy the child sonething else 'cause her birthday is on Saturday).

But my sweetie bought me something anyway... He got me a Dean Koontz book! I was so happy. I love me some Dean Koontz. I think if I lived in California I'd be a stalker!

Question of the Day:How long have you had your online diary?

Here is a creepy picture of the witchling as the "Spider Lady" on Halloween:

And here is one where we asked her to "act scary"...
