Ugh... Another snowy day!
If I get one more phone call about this damn house I am going to scream. Nope. Scratch that, I think I will bark. Yup. As soon as I hear the word "realtor" or "mortgage" I will begin barking like a madwoman. Or maddog. Just call me Cujo. Maybe then they will leave us alone!
The landlord is planning on selling our property. Supposedly, he wants to sell to us. And he's hooked us up with a mortgage guy to try and make that happen. Now suddenly we are a hot commodity. Even though James wa completely, (and maybe a bit overly) honest about our situation.
No matter what he tells them, they don't seem to care!
James thinks, and I agree with him, that Marcus (our landlord) is just using us to drive up the price of the property, you know, say "Hey look, these OTHER people want to buy too..." and then once he has a letter of approval and the price he wants he will turn around and sell to the developer.
He is such a sleaze!
So all day long our phone is ringing off the hook... Marcus wants to know if we've talked to this person or that person... And we are getting fed up! I heard James telling one guy "Look, I only said I MIGHT be interested." MIGHT."
He is just messing with them now. HE wants to see how desperate they are to get him...
"I have horrible credit."
And...
"I haven't even had a chance to get the property appraised... I don't know if its worth it yet!"
And...
"I have no job." (It starts in a few weeks)
He even told one guy he was a professional gambler. They said they would wing it to look like he worked for Marcus.
This is all very weird and slightly fishy.
I am wondering if there is a developer at all, maybe Marcus is desperate to unload this property for some reason?
Anyway.
Sigh...
Moving on.
I just got ahold of the school system here in Attleboro, to transfer the witchling into this system (basically I have to let them know I am homeschooling her here now) and they were so NICE! the woman I spoke to was full of advice and quite chatty... What a pleasant surprise. Most school people are at the very least standoffish. Most try to convince me that school is better! I got this letter at the beginning of the year detailing all the great new things available to the students at the school the witchling would have attended.
Wups! Its almost three! I have to get going... Three days a weekm I take the witchling to Jay's house for math lessons... The witchling's bestfriend's mom. She is way better at math than I am. And then she sends Carla here for signing lessons on Thursday. (She sleeps over on Wednesday nights).
So the girls get to see alot of each other.
